Before we begin, let's be clear about deleting:
-
If you delete a chart, any data associated with it will also be deleted.
-
If you intend to look back at a chart sometime, then we would recommend archiving instead.
We have found that occasionally there is a good reason to delete a chart. Maybe you never ended up measuring a particular pinpoint+, or perhaps you assigned the pinpoint to the wrong performer. In these cases, it may not be a bad idea to just get rid of a wasted chart.
To delete a chart from a performer's profile, try the following:
Steps
- Navigate from the performer's page to the pinpoint to be deleted.
- Click "Settings."
- Scroll down and click "Delete Pinpoint."
- Type "delete data" into the text field and click "Confirm."
In Depth
Navigate to your performer's page, then click "Pinpoints."
Click on the pinpoint you want to delete.
Click "Settings."
Scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click "Delete Pinpoint."
Side note: A pop-up will appear, asking if you are sure and requiring some additional steps to follow through. We added this to help avoid accidental deletions of important data. We hope you appreciate it ;-)
Once you are sure you're ready to rid yourself of this chart, type 'Delete data' into the text field. Then click "Confirm."
Now that chart is gone for good... Keep calm and chart on!
P.S. There's another way...
If you want to delete a pinpoint from the list of pinpoints in your account across all performers, there's a quick way to do it. But be careful! Any data associated with this pinpoint will disappear if you do it this way.
If you dare... here's what you do:
- From your dashboard, click on "Pinpoints" and find the pinpoint to delete.
- Click on that pinpoint and then "Settings."
- Click "Delete Pinpoint."
- Type 'Delete data' and click "Confirm."
